What got me into this Challenge

Rachel Potter was the person who got me into this challenge. I saw it one day on her blog and I thought it would be fun to do. I wanted to do it because I had just started my blog and I didn't really know what to blog about and this gave me something to blog about. Obviously I haven't been doing them everyday because I would have been done with them forever ago. I like just choosing the ones I like too because some of them could be really awkward or just take too much time. Like the one to your lover or crush WEIRD! What are you supposed to say, "I love you so much, you're wonderful, I hope we get married someday." No, you say that to their face not on the internet. Sorry, that one just bothered me. That's what got me into the challenge!

Picture from when I was a wee little girl

This is a picture of Deanna Dunn and I probably when we were about 4 or 5 at the RB community pool. This is currently my desktop picture on my computer right now. Deanna and I were the best of friends. Can't you tell by the matching swimsuits? I had probably 3 Winnie the Pooh swimsuits when I was little. I don't know if you can see the pony tail in my hair but I thought those things were the coolest ever. Also, my ear looks absolutely huge in this picture.

My Outfit Today

This is one of the daily challenges and I liked my outfit today so I decided to chose this one. So I got those rockin' boots yesterday. I have the lady bring out four pairs so I could find the best ones that didn't have anything wrong with them. I took shoes from two different boxes. Shhh, don't tell anyone. The shirt and belt are my mom's and I'm pretty sure both of them are from Gap. The sweater and skirt are from American Eagle and I got them on super sale a long time ago. That's really all I have to say about this.
P.S. To Brynn and Marissa, I'm hot Tuesday!!!

The Help

So I just finished an amazing book today. It is called The Help by Kathryn Stockett. It is about black maids in the 60's who tell their stories to a white lady to put in a book. It's interesting because the author writes in the perspective of the 3 main characters and switches between them every two to three chapters. From the moment I started reading this book I knew that I would love it. The characters feel so real and you wish you could meet them and be best friends with them. There are also some characters where you wish you could go through the book just to give them a good punch. It so amazing to see all they go through to write the book and all the funny stories too. That's another good thing about this book is that it is absolutely hilarious. I love this book so much and I can't wait for the movie to come out in August!
In You've got mail Kathleen Kelly says something to the effect that a really good book if its the right one can change you in so many different ways for the rest of your life and you can learn lessons from it that you couldn't learn any other way. This was one of those books. One that I will always remember. I've learned so much from it even though it's not a true story, but it shows love between characters that seems intangible and such a great compassion for others. It really opened my eyes to how segregation was. I'm so tempted to write Kathryn Stockett and thank her for this masterpiece she has created.

My Perfect Date

My perfect date would be very simple. No fancy restaurant, no expensive concert and definitely no walking on the beach. The perfect date would start out with the perfect guy asking me on the date, then it wouldn't really matter what we did. But, here are some things I would hope to do. It would have to be in the middle of fall too. First we would go to the temple, then ice blocking, then on a picnic. Then we would go paddle boating. After paddle boating, he would surprise me with purple tulips. Then we would play at a playground. Then we would go take pictures in a bunch of red leaves. While all of this would be going on, we would talk about everything. The things that worry us, the things we hope for, the places we want to go, and the kind of person we want to be. Now that would be my perfect date.

Stranded on an Island

If I were stranded on an island I would bring a really hot, talented, eagle scout with me. I think he would be perfect because I would just stare at him all day and he would know everything to do. Ten things we would bring would be lumber (for shelter), toothbrush/toothpaste, a piano, shampoo/conditioner, seeds, farm animals, water purifier, lots of music, clothes, and cooking supplies. It would be a great island to be stranded on. All the other islands would be super jealous.

Favorite Pictures

These are just some of my favorite pictures. :)
I love this picture because it is with two of my most favorite people.

I think it is awesome that the kid in the background is looking at Becca like she is retarded and I also love this because this is something Becca and I were always doing to each other that week at EFY.

I think this picture pretty much can explain its greatness without me having to say anything.

I feel like this picture sums up Marissa Lang.

I cannot get over how funny Rachel looks trying to place her hand on my butt. It makes me laugh every time I see this picture.

I love this picture because the whole time we were in Texas, Brynn kept saying how much she wanted to hold an armadillo and then we both finally got to hold one.

Ashley and I went to Target one time and this is one of the pictures that came from it. We gave all of them names and I am very sad that I cannot remember them.
